Plex Arts Fest is a festival for contemporary and experimental art in Burlington, Vermont.
Ahead of the 2025 event, organizers asked if I could use my crossing guard skills to help guide people across a busy street separating different Plex events.
I was out of town for the festival, but I had already been thinking about alternative stop sign messages I wished I could flash drivers I held up at my usual intersection (pictured left in my sketchbook).
So I made a couple of these stop signs for other Plex volunteers to use at the event.
I had so much fun making these, I made a little video about it:
